That’s why the Minister of Information and Communication Technology, Junaid Ahmed Palak, has urged the youth to stay busy with work during their leisure time. He has said that through this, the body and mind will remain healthy and success will be achieved in any work.
On Saturday, during the closing ceremony of the “Singra IT Freelancing Camp and Job Fair-2023” at the Singra Government Honors College, the chief guest mentioned that there are 85,000 students in 345 educational institutions in Singra, which is more than that of the Maldives. The local member of parliament urged participants to focus on the government’s “training, technology, and finance” initiatives to realize Bangabandhu’s dream of a “Golden Bengal” and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s “Smart Bangladesh” vision.
The IT minister, speaking at the closing ceremony under the leadership of Hasan Bin Aulad, said that the Honorable Prime Minister has already announced the construction of a Smart Bangladesh in 2041. The country’s youth can play a leading role in realizing this announcement. To do this, everyone needs to be trained in technology. They need to be skilled and choose a technology-dependent career path. ICT advisor Sajeeb Wazed Joy’s talent and the power of technology can be utilized to make this happen.
At a seminar on “Training, Technology, and Finance,” the Secretary of the IT Division, Shamsul Arefin, the Managing Director of Bangladesh Hi-Tech Park, Dr. Khandakar Ajijul Islam, the Project Director of IDI-JICA Project, Dr. Mohammad Mehedee Hasan, the Project Director of DIIDII Project, Abul Fatah M. Baligul Rahman, Upazila Executive Officer Mahmuda Khatoon, the President of Bangladesh Call Center Association, Wahid Sharif, the Mayor of Singra Municipality, Mo Jannatul Ferdous, and the Chairman of Gol-e-Afroze Government College, Professor Moh. At the event, the founder and CEO of Fleet Bangladesh, Khairul Alam, promised to create 600 freelancers from Singra by providing training in the next six months and giving them employment. At the time, the ICT Minister handed over the first appointment letters to 20 trainees from Golden Harvest.

The second session titled “Innovation and Digital Entrepreneurship for Smart Bangladesh” featured Dr. Khondkar A. Islam, Bakkar Mahmud Secretary, Ikbal Bahar Jahid, and M.A. Gani Osmani, the resident representative of Coder Trust BD, and Dayal Chandra Barman from Up Skilling from Anywhere and Suleiman Sukhon from Nagad’s Public Affairs.
27 organizations participated in Job Fair 2023, including Coder Trust, Nakorek IT, BFDS, ChalDal.com, and others. These organizations received 3,641 job applications and personal stories. After reviewing the personal stories, over 1,300 candidates were interviewed, and preliminary job offers were made to hundreds of them.
